Despite the challenges currently facing Russian poultry feed producers, they have maintained their annual growth rates of 4 to 5 percent.
The head of the Russian Food Producers’ Union made the remarks during a conference on Russian meat and food industries.
Afanasyev added: “By 2020, Russian food production will reach 30 to 32 million tons.”
Production growth was 10% for pig feed, 403% for beef, while growth was limited to 1.5% for poultry feed. This is evidence that the chicken market in Russia is relatively saturated.
