South Korea reports H5N8 bird flu outbreak among wild birds

The South Korean Ministry of Agriculture announced that it had detected the H5N8 bird flu outbreak among samples collected from wild birds in two areas in the center-west of the country, 84 km from Seoul.

وزارت The ministry has issued a bird flu warning because of the risk of spreading the virus as well as preventive measures to curb the spread of bird flu.

کشاورزی South Korean Agriculture Minister Kim Hyun Soo said farms should be quarantined and disinfected daily because migratory wild birds can spread the virus.

The outbreak of bird flu in South Korea follows the recent outbreak of the virus in the Netherlands, Germany and the United Kingdom.
