Head of Tax Affairs Organization:
Bank transaction information of account holders with a turnover of five billion tomans or more per year is examined.
With the information obtained in this way, we follow the activities that have caused this turnover to determine the tax rate in proportion to those activities.
Banking information Bank transactions of five billion tomans of income upwards from 1993 onwards can be reviewed by the Tax Affairs Organization from today. We monitor each person’s financial transactions based on their national code and that person’s first-degree relatives to prevent tax evasion.
The tax administration does not seek the banking information of all people and only handles the bank accounts of 5 to 10 percent of the country. / IRNA
