L-Lysine Sulfate is an amino acid product produced through fermentation processes similar to L-Lysine HCl. The L-lysine content in L-lysine sulfate is about 70% of the lysine level found in L-lysine HCl products; in other words, the pure lysine (L-lysine) content of L-lysine sulfate is 54.6%. Although L-lysine sulfate contains less lysine than L-lysine HCl, its lower production cost—and therefore a lower cost to the end user—makes it a more cost-effective option for meeting lysine requirements in animal feed. Arian Roshd Afza imports two L-lysine sulfate products from China under the Dong Xiao and Chengfu brands. The product is supplied as granules ranging in color from white to light brown. Like L-lysine HCl, L-lysine sulfate can withstand the high temperatures of expanding, extrusion, and pelleting, and it is also suitable for aquafeed.
