ARA’s Red Pigment is a highly effective, premium-quality pigment with a red shade that is significantly more stable than many comparable products. At a lower inclusion rate than other pigments, it enhances egg yolk color and helps improve market acceptance of the eggs. It is formulated to be compatible with the body’s biological processes and is presented as having no adverse side effects; even at three times the recommended dose, it is stated to be non-toxic.
This red pigment contains canthaxanthin, one of the most widely used red carotenoid colorants, known for strong performance and cost-effectiveness. Canthaxanthin is highly stable and concentrated, performs well throughout the egg-production cycle, and disperses evenly in the yolk.
The Red Pigment can increase the Egg Yolk Color Fan score up to 14, and depending on your target market and required yolk shade, it can be adjusted within the 7 to 14 range. It can also be used alongside Lucantin® Yellow to achieve improved results. The required inclusion rate depends on corn level in the diet, the desired yolk color, and the overall feed formulation, and its effects are typically visible within 7 to 10 days.
